Instead of sending your holiday tree to a landfill, give it a second life by attending Bring One for the Chipper, Keep Smyrna Beautiful’s annual Christmas tree recycling event! Help reduce landfill waste and keeping thousands of trees out of landfills. These trees are chipped by Davey Tree Company, transforming them into mulch that’s made available for free to the community including businesses, schools, and residents. Participants can take home free tree seedlings (while supplies last) to support the local tree canopy. This event is open to everyone and completely free! So, bring your tree, reduce landfill waste, make a positive environmental impact, and take home a seedling!

Additional Details
- Bring One for the Chipper is for live trees only.
- Not accepted at the event: artificial tree, trees with lights or ornament, flocked tree, garland or wreaths (the wire make them ineligible for chipping).
- Christmas trees may be dropped off during the week before the event. Help unloading trees and free seedlings will only be available during the date and time listed above.
- Holiday lights are accepted for recycling during the event time.
- The event is open to everyone and is free.
- Tree seedlings available for participants while supplies last.
